Terms of Service

This is a free service provided to benefit members of the dark online community. It is a fun and easy way to meet new people, and to keep in contact with your friends. As with all services, a few guidelines must be set down to prevent abuse and misuse of the messenger. These Terms of Service are for the safety and comfort of all members, and they help to maintain a warm and welcoming environment. This being said, use of this service means you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below:

NB: The Gothic-Rose Messenger is provided as a fun communication toy only.
It should not be used to transmit sensitive and/or confidential information.

Please be courteous and respectful towards fellow members. If a member asks you to cease contacting them for any reason, please do so. Reports of abuse, harrassment, and spam are taken very seriously, and may result in immediate removal of the offenders account. It is also important to note that if you wish make an abuse report, it is necessary to keep copies of all related correspondence - please DO NOT delete these messages from your messenger.

You must provide a true and accurate email address that is registered to you. This is necessary in the event that I need to contact you regarding your account.

Please use this service responsibly. Do not abuse your address book by sending regular "bulk mail", especially not to send "junk mail" (spam) to other members of this service.

Please do not post anything that contains profanity, hatred, or adult content in a public area (eg. your profile/details/username). This includes links to websites that contain the same.

Please remember to exercise appropriate caution when sharing personal information about yourself. Sharing your home address and/or telephone number is strongly discouraged.

Impersonation and similar deceptions will not be tolerated (eg. signing for another user name and hiding your "other" identity in order to deceive someone so you can play "mind games", or pretending to be the webmaster of another website etc). This behaviour is destructive to say the least, and such deception is gross misuse of this service and it is NOT what it is here for.

You must be AT LEAST 13 years of age to register for and use this service.

The administrator (Gothic-Rose) has the final say as to what IS acceptable and what ISN'T. Please do not argue "rules", as the "rules" are here for the benefit of all who partake in this service. And it is these same rules that keep this service a happy and enjoyable environment for all members.

This service is provided as is, and is used entirely at your own risk. Use of this service is subject to these Terms of Service, in addition to the standard Terms of Service of this site, and you agree to abide by them. These may be modified as the need arises. Please be sure you have read and understand these terms before registering an account, as all members are bound by them.
